First of all, what is a "respected player"?

A respected player is a player who has been approved to join the respected group, both on the server, and the forum.

As a respected player you get the following extras on the server:
  • Your prop limit increases from 50 to 200 props
  • Basically no tool restrictions
  • Access to votekick and voteban
  • Fancy green name in chat
And the following extras for the forum:
  • You can have a say in accepting other people's respected applications by being their "reference", recommending (or not recommending) them.
  • Fancy green name with 3(!) stars

So you have joined the server and want to become a respected player?

You will need to post a "respected application". It is quite easy, but there are 3 basic things you need to do first:

1: Play by the rules of the server
Read the rules, here if you haven't already

2: Just play on the server for a while, so people get to know who you are
I recommend playing for 1-2 weeks before trying to make a respected application.
This is necessary because people can only recommend you/approve your application if they know you, and have played with you before.
Note: Only other respected or higher can support your application.

3: Be nice to others
If you are nice player, you should be able to make some friends who would support your application by being your "reference".

If you have done all of this so far, you are ready to make a respected application.
We have created a template for you to fill out, here .
Please copy it from there and use it
to make a new respected application in the Respected Application forum.
Shouldn't we just allow mods to ban too?
Because allowing repsected voteban but Mods not is kinda you know.... weird.
Ye, sometimes voteban is useless, if you have a minge and players vote no for some reason, or don't vote at all, you are fucked. I usually ban fuckers for only a day or two if they don't listen to warnings and get kicked many times, but still it's a cooldown so they can at least rethink wtf they are doing.
Sometimes when I'm the only respected on the server and try to kick someone, the votes aren't successful cos there's too many minges supporting the head minge which makes it hard to get rid of him in the first place as well as the others that support him. Perhaps the votes needed could be lowered a bit to allow votes to be more successful? As for the voteban, mods should have access to it and the votes needed should be lowered, but this is my opinion fyi.

Agree with @LightBringer.
1: The title says this is a work in progress.
2: I'll see if i can give moderators a limited time ban, like ban 1h, 1 day, 3 days etc.
