Hello everyone, as in recent exploits on steam, people managed to embed videos, scripts and
even malicious code in their OWN PROFILE. Now this is a huge risk for the client since it's
basically xss attacks and javascript code, that can hijack your session or even worse.
Examples :
- A youtube URL is played
- The entire exploiter's steam profile is replaced with another page
- files downloaded into your PC
- Screamers
Safety Procedures
- do NOT try and do it your self, you will get a community ban
- do NOT open any profile links OR your activaty feed till this issue is resolved
- If you think you are effected by this exploit, run a scan on your PC
